The first time I heard “In Christ Alone,” written by England’s Stuart Townend and Ireland’s Keith Getty, I was brought to me knees and leveled by the classical grandeur and gravitas of Getty’s melody and Townend’s lush lyrics that paint the Gospel story in piercing and theology-rich text.
